This position is responsible for &/or has authority to lead the development of plant-wide quality operating systems and effective customer/supplier relationships.

Develop and implement effective Quality systems in compliance with customer requirements and established corporate quality guidelines. Lead the development of and maintain achieved quality classifications such as ISO.
Develop Procedures, work instructions, control plans, 8-D’s, FMEA’s, Action plans, and flow charts. Coordinate plant responsibilities for AQP, PPAP, and related processes. Oversee the preparation of a wide variety of charts and reports related to tracking plant performance.
Coordinate the dispositioning of all incoming production parts and paint. Make final quality decisions on raw and finished product. Serve as primary quality contact for and develop pro-active relationships with customers and suppliers. Monitor and control product on hold.
Collaborate with Manufacturing/Engineering in the development of new programs and processes.
Assist in the training of associates regarding quality systems, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and related topics.
Provide assistance to associates and production support groups to resolve production-related problems. Act as a resource for helping associates develop process improvement recommendations.
Develop, train, and lead a team that meets total quality expectations of internal and external customers. Collaborate with management in expeditiously addressing and resolving associate issues on a consistent basis. Provide backup to other supervisors as necessary. Ensure compliance with established company policies.
Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Quality Policy Awareness

BS degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience :
5-7 years previous experience in quality management, preferably in an automotive supplier environment. Recognition of a quality certification as an Internal Auditor or equivalent experience.

Skills and Characteristics:
Strong organizational, planning, communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Ability to lead and teach in a team oriented work environment.

Physical Demands / Work Environment :
Combination of typical office and plant conditions. Travel is required
