Position Summary and Expected Results :This position provides support to leaders within various levels of the organization primarily on payroll and benefit issues. This position assists in developing and improving processes across diverse human resource functions such as payroll, benefits, onboarding and employee relations. This position understands and applies applicable local, state and federal regulations to employment situations. This position has no direct reports, and will have some off shift responsibilities and interaction with employees. The position requires knowledge of the principles, practices and sound techniques in specific key areas of HR administration, primarily payroll and benefits; ability and quickly adapt practices and techniques to meet the needs of the business; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with managers, employees, vendors, and others; ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in verbal and written form in front of small and large groups; and the ability to organize, retrieve and report information. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following . (Other duties may be assigned.) Process Payroll, HR and Benefit transactions in ADP. Work with ADP training to become the system administrator. Explore and understand ADP features to be used for the benefit of company(EEO1 tracking, WorkersA? Compensation Manuals, training tracking, etc.) Create and maintain new hire and personnel files and enter them into ADP. Communicate and assist with interpreting policies for managers and employees. Contribute to the development of new and revised Human Resource related policies and processes. Conduct new employee on:boarding and benefits orientations. Promote an understanding of the companyA?s strategy and culture. Assist employees with inquiries regarding benefits. Minimize risk by ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, GINA, etc. Plan employee activities that have a positive impact on the culture and enhance employee relations. Assists HR Manager with company events, taking a lead role for annual open enrollment. Handle employee concerns and complaints in a humble and approachable manner to ensure that every employee feels A?heardA? and respectfully treated. Process Leave of Absences in accordance with applicable employment laws and company policy. Complete special projects by clarifying project objective, setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, organizing information and developing written and verbal reports. Develop and maintain an understanding of the companyA?s business, products, customers and people to ensure alignment between HR programs and company strategy and plans. Proactively participate in self:development activities to update job knowledge; read professional publications; maintain professional networks by participating in professional organizations. Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Requirements and Qualifications Education and Experience: The position requires a BachelorA?s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other closely:related area of study and at least two yearsA? experience as an HR specialist or generalist. Payroll experience is required, and specifically with ADP preferred. Benefits Administration experience is required. Other preferred experience includes employee relations, training, and managing leaves of absence. An HR certification is preferred.
