The Center Director is responsible for administering the program in accordance with state, federal, and accrediting body childcare standards and Early Learning policies and guidelines of Ohio. The Center Director oversees all aspects of the center including personnel management, budgeting, recordkeeping, marketing, and building maintenance.

Essential Functions
Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Service (ODJFS), Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) policies and guidelines.
Maintain a motivation for growth and service quality
Manage efforts to maintain the building and the property:
Coordinate maintenance, safety and housekeeping
Coordinating the opening and closing procedures of the center
Coordinate all academic and developmental activities
Coordinate all daily lesson plans with teachers
Coordinate the enrollment process
Work with Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) coordinator to comply with CACFP standards.

Coordinate the tracking and storage of all employee, family operation records
Accurately monitor and manage the tracking of parents checking their children in and out of the center.
Maintain and update the fire drill inspection records
Maintain and update Health Inspections records

Be a part of Professional Development Imitative
Work with the Human Resources Coordinator (HRC) and Director to develop a working environment of professional growth, collaboration, trust, openness and acknowledgment amongst the staff.
Collaborate with HRC and Director through the disciplinary action process
Participant professional development trainings and activities
Perform annual performance evaluations
Collaborate with the HRC and Director in the Hiring Process
Improve loyalty and longevity of staff hires

Manage staff schedules to assure the appropriate coverage of operation
Make sure that each classroom meets Ohios teacher to child ratio Standards
Make sure that your schedule is flexible to address any coverage problems that may affect operating according to standards
Manage The Centers monthly budget
Manage monthly purchases economically

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience.
Prefer: Bachelors Degree in Education or related field, two years of experience as a child care director or head teacher
or an Associates degree in Education with four years of experience as a child care director or head teacher.
The director must have experience and knowledge of Ohio Department of Job and Families Child Care licensing regulations along with Step:Up to Quality.
Leadership experience with the ability to develop, engage and inspire a team.
Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi:task and manage multiple situations effectively.
