Position Summary: Break the paradigm of traditional AEC industry design and put your imagination into action! SSOE is looking for a computer application programmer to join our Global Virtual Design and Construction team. This professional will lead with the design, prototyping, and testing of custom software applications to improve existing processes or for new innovations. We are seeking applicants with a strong background in writing code, data analysis and aggregation, and designing user interfaces. We are extremely interested in candidates who can work in an agile planning/execution atmosphere. This position will be immersed in an interdisciplinary setting in both applications and disciplines. Many of our project teams are utilizing mainstream applications by Autodesk, Microsoft and other web or app based softwares. We are looking to enhance our Computational Design/Analytics, Design Automation, BIM, Reality Capture, VR/AR, and Data Management processes and environments. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Active participate in interactive planning sessions to define application requirements and success. Design and program overall application design & execution. Organize development tasks into highly agile development plans for execution Serve as a leader in writing, validating and creating code, database, and custom applications. Perform Progress updates with stakeholders and team. Will serve as coach and mentor to other developers within the department. Will serve as a solutions creator for complex projects our design and construction teams are working on. Providing value to our internal and external customers. Review and extract parametric information from models and databases Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree / DIRECT / 6-8 OSHA 10/30-hour Construction Certificate preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field , with 5-10 years of programming experience preferred. Professional background that includes programming courses (Object-oriented Design, Data Structures, etc.) Experience with API user-interface development for Autodesk products preferred Strong oral and written communication skills. Well organized with a disciplined work ethic. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database environments Advanced or intermediate skill sets in some of the following: Visual Studio, C#, Microsoft SQL Server, JSON, Java Script, Autodesk Dynamo Studio, HTML, mobile apps Entry or intermediate knowledge of Mobile, HTML, JSON, and or Autodesk Dynamo Studio Experience working within the AEC industry is preferred. Experience with design visualization. Familiar with SCRUM and Agile Planning. Working knowledge of Architecture, Engineering, and or Construction a positive
